Termag is an overpriced mediocre hotel. It is a standard (or even substandard) 4 star hotel that COSTS MORE than many 5 star hotels in which we stayed in Swiss and Austrian ski centres. Given the mediocre quality and small size of the ski centre itself, this is a highway robbery. The hotel feels like staying in a chimney. Smoking is allowed everywhere including the restaurant, conference rooms, children play rooms and sleeping rooms. Everyone smokes, all the time, in all parts of the hotel. Nonsmoking rooms do not exist. Smoke is penetrating every room through the air filtering system. Carpets, curtains, beds and all furniture stinks on tobacco. The temperature in the hotel is 24 degrees Celsius at all times and that cannot be adjusted in the rooms. Yet it’s too cold outside to sleep with an open window. So we slept really poorly. Rooms are mediocre, rather small, with no sitting area. All amenities are NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. Guests need to pay to use the swimming pool and underground garage. The hotel wanted to charge us 50% more for the third person staying in the same room (we split the party and booked another hotel due to this). Breakfast is good but dinner is rather mediocre with a very small choice of vegetables and cooked food (variety of meat dishes is served). Overall service is good but it cannot justify the outrageous pricing. We cannot recommend Hotel Termag and Jahorina to Western Europeans and world travellers. Substandard quality of air due to permitted smoking in all areas of the hotel, substandard smelly rooms, very small ski centre (12km ski pistes only) , highly aggressive skiers and drivers on the road, and higher prices than at Hintertux, Saas-Fee, etc., makes this a no-go area of the Europe, unfortunately.
